Queensland's skilling priorities

Queensland's 2009-10 Skilling Priorities have been developed in collaboration with Queensland's industry training engagement bodies.

Through the development of regular industry skills plans and reports, these engagement bodies are providing comprehensive and valuable insights into the complexities associated with their industry's skills shortages, including ways in which both government and industry can work in unison to overcome them.

This industry advice, together with other research, statistics and analysis, has formed the basis of the following industry snapshots. Each comprises a brief industry profile, the government's proposed 2008-09 training investment, and recent skilling achievements and future training priorities for the industry, developed collaboratively between industry and government.

Summary of allocated and planned training investment

The following link provides a summary across all industries, of the department's allocated investment in training in 2008-09, and planned investment for 2009-10. Please note that actual delivery may be somewhat different to the allocated and planned investment due to emerging shifting training demands.
