Revamped Skilling Queenslanders for Work program announced
The Queensland Government is reinstating the highly successful Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative. It represents a significant investment of $240 million over four years to support up to 32,000 Queenslanders back into work through a suite of targeted skills and training programs.
Register for a Skilling Queenslanders for Work information session
Information sessions will be run in metropolitan and regional locations throughout Queensland in April and May 2015. You can register your interest to attend by completing the online form.
Industry Pre-apprenticeship Program projects announced
Under the 2014-15 Industry Pre-apprenticeship Program, six projects valued at $481,127, have now been approved to deliver training and support services to 262 participants across Queensland.
Training projects to support Indigenous job opportunities
Nearly $1.5 million is being invested in 11 training projects across the state to support Indigenous Queenslanders to complete qualifications linked to meaningful job opportunities in their local communities.
